Business
HBM Holdings Limited is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company engaged in the discovery, development, and commercialization of differentiated antibody therapeutics focusing on immunology and oncology disease areas. Its core products include Batoclimab (HBM9161) targeting autoimmune diseases such as immune thrombocytopenia, Graves’ ophthalmopathy, myasthenia gravis, and neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder; Tanfanercept for moderate-to-severe dry eye disease; HBM4003; HBM9378 aimed at preventing and treating COVID-19; and HBM7008. The company leverages its proprietary Harbour Mice® platform to generate fully human monoclonal antibodies in traditional two heavy and two light chain (H2L2) and heavy chain-only (HCAb) formats, enabling the development of HBICE® bispecific immune cell engagers for tumor targeting and HBICA™ bispecific immune cell antagonists to address immunological and inflammatory diseases. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Suzhou, China, HBM operates across Mainland China, the United States, Europe, and internationally, maintaining collaborations with major pharmaceutical companies including AstraZeneca, Pfizer, and BeiGene, as well as academic partners like Washington University. In recent developments, HBM launched the first fully human generative AI HCAb model powered by its Hu-mAtrIx™ AI platform enhancing antibody discovery through integration of AI design, screening, and wet-lab validation. Additionally, it established a new biotech entity, Élancé Therapeutics, to focus on bispecific antibodies addressing obesity treatments with a focus on muscle preservation. The company also recently undertook a significant share placement raising HK$512 million and deepened its strategic collaboration with AstraZeneca to discover and develop next-generation biotherapeutics in oncology. HBM Holdings Limited combines its antibody technology platforms, a single B-cell cloning platform, and advanced AI-driven processes to maintain a highly efficient pipeline for novel therapeutic antibody development in immuno-oncology and immunology segments, serving global healthcare markets.
