Hektas Ticaret T.A.S. is a Turkey-based company specializing in the production, import, and marketing of agricultural chemicals and veterinary products. Founded in 1956 and headquartered in Gebze, Turkey, Hektas serves agricultural producers primarily within Turkey and has expanding international exposure including activities in Australia and Uzbekistan. Recent major company developments include the acquisition of veterinary medicine producer Arma İlaç in 2021, expanding its animal health segment, and the establishment of a pet food production facility in Manyas, Balıkesir. Hektas also acquired 51% of Australian drought-resistant seed producer Agriventis and has pursued seed breeding activities through acquiring Areo Tohumculuk in Antalya. Additionally, the company invested in a subsidiary, Hektas Asia LLC, to expand its footprint in Uzbekistan. It continues strategic partnerships including memoranda of understanding with Pakistan’s Fauiji Foundation and Malaysia’s Boustead Holdings Berhad to foster collaboration and export growth. Hektas is noted for focusing on sustainable agricultural practices and smart agriculture solutions, aligning with its role as a pioneer in its sector. It is a subsidiary of OYAK Group and is listed on the Borsa Istanbul BIST 30 index.
