HK Electric operates the Lamma Power Station featuring coal-fired units, oil-fired gas turbine units, gas-fired combined-cycle units, a solar power system and a wind turbine with an aggregate installed capacity of approximately 3,700 megawatts; maintains a transmission and distribution network spanning roughly 7,000 kilometers comprising zone substations, switching substations, distribution substations, energy management systems and a system control center; and provides customer services including emergency support, account management and online applications to over 590,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers.
