Business
IPA Investment Group Joint Stock Company is a Vietnam-based investment holding company that operates a diversified portfolio across financial services, renewable energy, real estate, and enterprise technology solutions. Founded in 1998 and headquartered in Hanoi, Vietnam, the company conducts its business activities primarily through strategic equity holdings, direct project developments, and subsidiary operations distributed across the northern, central, and southern regions of Vietnam. The company structures its core business operations and service offerings into four principal segments: Financial Services and Asset Management; Energy and Utilities; Real Estate and Infrastructure; and Corporate Management and Technology Solutions. In its Financial Services and Asset Management segment, the company provides retail and institutional securities brokerage, margin trading, wealth management, underwriting, financial advisory, and custody services through its core associate VNDIRECT Securities Joint Stock Company; portfolio management, open-ended mutual fund management, and discretionary asset management services through I.P.A Securities Investment Fund Management Limited Company (IPAAM); and non-life insurance coverage including property, casualty, and motor insurance through equity affiliations such as Post-Telecommunication Joint-Stock Insurance Corporation (PTI). In its Energy and Utilities segment, the company develops, owns, and operates clean energy power plants, including small-to-medium run-of-river hydropower facilities such as the 36-megawatt Nam Phang Hydroelectric Power Plant operated via Bac Ha Energy Joint Stock Company, alongside capital investments in utility-scale solar and wind energy generation assets. In its Real Estate and Infrastructure segment, the company engages in commercial, residential, and eco-resort property development, property asset management, and nationwide real estate brokerage and marketing distribution services in collaboration with strategic investees, including Century Real Estate Joint Stock Company (CenLand). In its Corporate Management and Technology Solutions segment, the company delivers operational consulting, digital transformation architecture, enterprise software integration, shared corporate governance systems, and financial technology infrastructure through IPA Technology Solution Joint Stock Company. The company serves a diverse client base comprising individual retail investors, private and public corporations, institutional funds, and national power utilities. In recent major company developments, IPA Investment Group Joint Stock Company completed the full acquisition of 100% charter capital in I.P.A Securities Investment Fund Management Limited Company (IPAAM) from VNDIRECT Securities, centralizing its asset and wealth management operations directly under parent-level oversight. The company has also strategically optimized its capital structure and debt profile by managing corporate bond redemptions and realigning liquidity reserves to support renewable energy project financing and long-term equity commitments. Following regulatory reviews by the State Securities Commission of Vietnam, the group has implemented comprehensive corporate governance enhancements, standardized corporate disclosures, and restructured administrative procedures across its board and audit committees. In addition, following network security disruptions affecting interconnected market platforms, the company has executed enterprise-wide cybersecurity upgrades and IT infrastructure enhancements across its operational subsidiaries and technology networks to bolster system resilience and ensure operational continuity.
