Business
Truong Thanh Development and Construction Investment Joint Stock Company is a Vietnam-based renewable energy and infrastructure construction company primarily engaged in the generation, transmission, and sale of electricity from hydropower, solar, and wind assets. Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Yen Bai Province, Vietnam, the company operates across the renewable power generation, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), and infrastructure development sectors. The company operates through three principal business segments: Power Generation, Construction and EPC Services, and Investment and Operational Consulting. In its Power Generation segment, the company generates and sells clean electricity to state-owned utility Vietnam Electricity (EVN) under long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs); operates a portfolio of run-of-river hydropower facilities, including the Ngoi Hut 2 (48 MW), Ngoi Hut 2A (8.4 MW), and Pa Hu (26 MW) hydropower plants located in Yen Bai Province; and manages utility-scale solar photovoltaic installations, including the Hoa Hoi / Hoa Thanh Solar Power Plant (100 MWp) in Phu Yen Province and the Lake Nui Mot Solar Power Plant (50 MWp) in Ninh Thuan Province. In its Construction and EPC Services segment, the company provides civil engineering and specialized construction contracting for hydropower reservoirs, dams, tunnels, solar mounting systems, electrical substations, and high-voltage transmission lines; offers project management and installation services for industrial and energy infrastructure; and delivers structural engineering services for commercial and civil projects. In its Investment and Operational Consulting segment, the company provides technical feasibility studies, project licensing support, operations and maintenance (O&M) services for clean energy plants, and electrical engineering consultancy. The company focuses on the Vietnamese domestic power market, serving the national electric grid via EVN as its primary off-taker, alongside local industrial customers. Its operational footprint spans northern mountainous regions such as Yen Bai and central and south-central provinces known for high solar irradiance, including Phu Yen, Ninh Thuan, and Dak Lak. In recent developments, Truong Thanh Development and Construction Investment JSC has accelerated strategic expansion initiatives aligned with Vietnam's National Power Development Plan VIII (PDP8), prioritizing pipeline investments in utility-scale onshore wind power projects and hybrid renewable installations across the Central Highlands and South Central Coast. The company has actively prepared feasibility studies and grid connection assessments to participate in the Direct Power Purchase Agreement (DPPA) mechanism, enabling direct clean energy sales to multinational and domestic commercial and industrial consumers. Operationally, over the past two years, the company has completed efficiency upgrades and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system modernizations across its hydropower and solar fleets to enhance plant availability, optimize dispatch efficiency, and mitigate grid curtailment risks. Furthermore, the company has executed debt restructuring and long-term project refinancing programs with domestic commercial banking syndicates to lower financing costs, extend debt maturity profiles, and strengthen liquidity for subsequent renewable energy asset development.
