- Howden Joinery Group Plc manufactures and supplies kitchens and joinery products to trade customers, primarily local builders, through a network of depots across the UK, France, Belgium and the Republic of Ireland. Founded in 1995 and headquartered in London, England, the company offers fitted kitchens including cabinets with a 25-year guarantee, worktops, sinks and taps, flooring, appliances under its exclusive Lamona brand as well as from Neff, Bosch, AEG, Hotpoint, Zanussi, Beko and Rangemaster; joinery products such as internal and external doors including fire doors, stair parts, skirting, architrave and general joinery items; and additional hardware including a new own-label ironmongery range Fuller and Forge together with solid work surfaces in 63 decors. All cabinets and panels utilise sustainable FSC and PEFC certified materials manufactured primarily at its UK facilities in Runcorn, Cheshire, and Howden, East Yorkshire; the company operates 869 depots in the UK, 65 in France and Belgium, and 13 in the Republic of Ireland as of late 2024.
In 2024, Howden Joinery expanded its network with 29 new UK depots and three international additions, alongside 76 depot reformats and relocations including eight more in early 2025; it introduced 11 new kitchen ranges emphasising value across budgets, enhanced its premium Paint To Order offerings with refreshed colours, launched 22 new solid work surface decors, debuted the Oake & Gray flooring brand and added bedroom ranges now totalling 19 options.
The company advanced manufacturing with full-year production of end-panels and kitchen frontals at Howden to cut reliance on bought-in goods, achieved 99.98% service levels via cross-docking and Daily Traders initiatives, rolled out digitised Live-Stock management and nationwide Click and Collect for everyday items, and announced a £100m share buyback programme alongside plans for 20 new UK depots, 60 reformats, 23 additional kitchens excluding Paint To Order, CRM software and Runcorn factory upgrades in 2025.
