(IES.DE) operates as Italy's leading banking group, offering a comprehensive range of retail, corporate, investment banking, private banking, asset management, and insurance services through six primary divisions: Banca dei Territori, which serves 13.4 million retail and exclusive customers, 173,000 SMEs, 80,000 agribusiness clients, and 97,000 non-profit entities via 1,971 retail branches, 242 SME branches, 247 agribusiness branches, and 97 non-profit branches, complemented by industrial credit, leasing, factoring, direct channels, and the digital bank Isybank including instant banking via Mooney partnership with Enel; IMI Corporate & Investment Banking, providing commercial and transaction banking, capital markets, sustainable finance, investment banking, structured finance, M&A advisory, equity and debt capital markets to corporates, financial institutions, and public administrations across 23 countries through 27 Italian branches and a specialist international network; International Banks, conducting commercial banking in 12 countries across Central-Eastern Europe, Middle East, and North Africa with 898 branches and 7.5 million customers; Private Banking, delivering financial consulting, wealth management, and high-net-worth services via 245 branches and 6,980 private bankers to 128,000 clients including Fideuram-Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking; Asset Management, offering solutions to group customers, external networks, and institutions through Eurizon with 352 billion euros in assets under management and subsidiaries like Eurizon Asset Management Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Eurizon SLJ Capital; and Insurance, providing tailored insurance and pension products through Intesa Sanpaolo Assicurazioni, Protezione, Insurance Agency, InSalute Servizi, and Fideuram Vita with 179 billion euros in direct deposits. Founded in 2007 through the merger of Banca Intesa and Sanpaolo IMI with roots tracing to 1539 via Banco di Napoli and 1563 via Compagnia di San Paolo, the company maintains dual headquarters in Turin at Piazza San Carlo 156 and Milan at Piazza Paolo Ferrari 10, alongside over 2,800 branches in Italy, more than 900 abroad, and operations spanning Europe, America, Asia, Africa, and Oceania serving approximately 13.9 million Italian customers and 7.6 million internationally.
