IGO Limited is an Australia-based mining development and exploration company that discovers, develops and operates mines producing battery anode and cathode minerals, including nickel sulphide concentrates containing nickel, copper and cobalt from its Nova Operation and Forrestania Operation in Western Australia; spodumene concentrate from its 49% interest in the world-class Greenbushes lithium mine via the Talison Lithium joint venture with Tianqi Lithium Corporation and Albemarle; and lithium hydroxide from the Kwinana Refinery, also through the 49% joint venture; together with exploration for nickel, copper, lithium, cobalt and silver deposits across Western Australia, Northern Territory, South Australia and Greenland. The company, founded in 2000 and headquartered in South Perth, Western Australia, focuses on battery minerals critical to the clean energy transition, serving global markets with products supporting electric vehicle and renewable energy supply chains. Recent developments include IGO's completion of Stage 1 exploration earning a 51% joint venture interest in the Bridgetown-Greenbushes lithium project with Venus Metals Corporation following $3 million expenditure; securing 70% interest in the Yeneena Copper Project via $15 million exploration with Encounter Resources Ltd; transition of Forrestania and Cosmos nickel operations to care and maintenance amid market conditions; cessation of Kwinana Lithium Hydroxide Plant 2 activities pending pathway review with partners; termination of the Fraser Range Joint Venture transferring Big Bullocks exploration licence; appointments of Brett Salt as Chief Growth and Commercial Officer and Marie Bourgoin as Chief Development Officer – Lithium; and robust cash position of $259 million with no debt as of late 2024.
