iShares Morningstar Mid-Cap Growth ETF (IMCG) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to track the Morningstar US Mid Cap Broad Growth Index, which measures the performance of mid-capitalization U.S. equities exhibiting above-average growth characteristics based on historical and forecasted earnings, sales, equity, and cash flow growth. The fund invests at least 90% of its assets in securities of the underlying index, providing passive exposure to a diversified portfolio of approximately 275 mid-cap growth stocks; top holdings include Robinhood Markets Inc. (HOOD), Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. (RCL), Roblox Corp. (RBLX), Vistra Corp. (VST), and Howmet Aerospace Inc. (HWM), with significant sector allocations to industrials (around 23%), information technology, and financials. IMCG offers quarterly distributions to shareholders, with a net expense ratio of 0.06%, low turnover through quarterly rebalancing and twice-annual reconstitution of the index, and no sustainable, impact, or ESG investment strategy. Launched on June 28, 2004, and issued by BlackRock (iShares) with headquarters in New York, the ETF operates primarily in the U.S. equity market, targeting investors seeking mid-cap growth segment exposure with assets under management exceeding $2.8 billion. Recent developments include a quarterly distribution declaration of $0.2093 per share in December 2025, ongoing portfolio manager updates such as the addition of Peter Sietsema, Matt Waldron, and Steven White effective April 2025, and sustained asset growth amid strong performance, including a 19.92% total return over the past year as of late 2025.
