Invesco Multi-Factor Defensive Core Fixed Income ETF (IMFD) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to track the investment results, before fees and expenses, of the Invesco Multi-Factor Defensive Core Index. The ETF provides multi-factor exposure to a diversified portfolio of fixed income securities, emphasizing defensive characteristics through factors such as quality, value, and momentum to enhance returns while managing risk; its underlying index allocates approximately 20% to mortgage-backed securities, 15% to other sectors including U.S. Treasuries, investment-grade corporate bonds, high-yield bonds, and emerging markets debt. IMFD maintains a portfolio of around 88 holdings, with the top 10 positions comprising about 20.76% of assets, and focuses on global fixed income markets with an expense ratio of 0.12%. Launched in December 2018 by Invesco Ltd., a global investment management firm founded in 1935 and headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, the ETF trades on the Cboe BZX Exchange and targets investors seeking intermediate core bond exposure with a year-to-date return of approximately 0.62% and a yield of 2.71% as of late 2025. Invesco, which manages over $1.5 trillion in assets under management as of 2023, operates worldwide with offices in 20 countries and offers IMFD as part of its broader lineup of multi-factor fixed income ETFs, including IMFC and IMFP. Recent developments include Invesco's expansion of its active fixed income platform in July 2025 with launches of the Invesco Core Fixed Income ETF (GTOC) and Invesco Intermediate Municipal ETF (INTM), alongside ongoing product line adjustments such as terminations in its Canadian ETF offerings announced in August 2025 to focus on high-demand areas; no specific mergers, acquisitions, or strategic shifts directly affecting IMFD were reported in 2024 or 2025.
