Business
IRM Energy Limited, a city gas distribution company and group entity of Cadila Pharmaceuticals Limited, develops, lays, operates, and expands natural gas distribution networks across authorized geographical areas in India, supplying compressed natural gas for automobiles via CNG stations and piped natural gas to industrial, commercial, and domestic customers; it maintains over 5,252 inch-kms of pipelines including MDPE and steel variants, alongside 91 CNG retail outlets serving 71,552 domestic, 207 industrial, and 381 commercial users as of September 2024. Incorporated in 2015 and headquartered in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, the company operates in Banaskantha and Gir-Somnath districts of Gujarat, Fatehgarh Sahib in Punjab, Diu in the Union Territory of Daman & Diu, and Namakkal and Tiruchirappalli districts in Tamil Nadu, with exclusive marketing and infrastructure rights spanning five to 25 years in these regions. Recent developments include five-year regasified liquefied natural gas supply agreements signed in March 2025 with Shell Energy India Private Limited for 1.23 crore MMBtu and Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation for 65.76 lakh MMBtu to ensure stable sourcing through 2030; in November 2025, it approved unaudited Q2/H1 financial results, appointed Arunkumar Saluru as CFO effective November 12, and advanced a draft amalgamation scheme with Enertech involving a 21.12% stake transfer.
