iShares Core Total USD Bond Market ETF (IUSB) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to track the Bloomberg US Universal Index, providing broad exposure to U.S. dollar-denominated taxable bonds including investment-grade and high-yield securities; U.S. Treasury bonds; government-related bonds; corporate bonds; mortgage-backed pass-through securities issued by the Federal National Mortgage Association, Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, and Government National Mortgage Association; commercial mortgage-backed securities; asset-backed securities; Eurodollar bonds; and emerging market bonds. The fund holds approximately 17,000 securities, with top exposures to United States Treasury (39%), Federal National Mortgage Association (9%), Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (6%), and Government National Mortgage Association II (5%), alongside investment-grade corporate issuers such as JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Bank of America Corp. Launched on June 10, 2014 and domiciled in the United States, IUSB is issued and managed by BlackRock Fund Advisors, a subsidiary of BlackRock, Inc., with primary listing on Nasdaq and additional listings on Bolsa Institucional de Valores (Mexico) since June 2024 and Santiago Stock Exchange (Chile) since November 2021; the fund operates globally but focuses on USD-denominated instruments accessible to institutional and retail investors seeking intermediate core-plus bond exposure. In recent developments, effective August 1, 2025, Jonathan Graves and Marcus Tom joined James Mauro as portfolio managers, enhancing the management team for the fund and related iShares products. As of October 31, 2025, the fund's name was updated from iShares Core Universal USD Bond ETF to iShares Core Total USD Bond Market ETF in certain prospectus documents, aligning with its comprehensive USD bond market focus. The ETF has seen robust inflows, including a record $6.6 billion in May 2025 amid BlackRock's model portfolio adjustments favoring inflation protection and diversification, while maintaining a low net expense ratio of 0.06% following fee waivers on acquired fund expenses. Assets under management stand at approximately $34 billion as of late 2025, with monthly distributions continuing, such as $0.1657 per share declared recently.
