Business
Iveco Group N.V. designs, manufactures, markets, sells, services, and finances trucks, commercial vehicles, buses, specialty vehicles, powertrains, and related components; its core offerings span light, medium, and heavy commercial vehicles including the Daily, Eurocargo, S-WAY, and T-WAY models under the IVECO brand; minibuses, city buses, intercity buses, coaches, and electric city buses under the IVECO BUS and HEULIEZ brands; civil defense, peacekeeping, firefighting, and specialty vehicles under the IDV and ASTRA brands; combustion engines, alternative propulsion systems, transmissions, and axles for on- and off-road, marine, power generation, agricultural, and construction applications under the FPT Industrial brand; alongside financial products and services through IVECO CAPITAL for vehicle purchase, lease, and fleet management. The company operates through five main segments—Truck, Bus, Defence, Powertrain, and Financial Services—serving customers in transportation, distribution, construction, defense, and energy sectors primarily in Europe, South America, North America, and internationally across more than 160 countries with production facilities in Europe, China, Australia, and Latin America. Founded in 1975 through the merger of Fiat Veicoli Industriali, OM, Lancia Veicoli Speciali, Unic, and Magirus-Deutz, and established as a standalone entity in 2022 following its demerger from CNH Industrial, Iveco Group N.V. maintains its statutory seat in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and headquarters in Turin, Italy, with shares listed on Euronext Milan under ticker IVG.MI. Recent developments include the October 2025 establishment of a joint venture with DLL, under which DLL acquired a 51% stake in GATE—formerly Iveco Group's financing subsidiary—to accelerate low- and zero-emission commercial vehicle financing in Europe, with Iveco Group retaining 49%; expansion of IVECO CAPITAL's partnership with Eurowag for co-branded mobility services into France and Germany in late 2024 and further markets in 2025; and a July 2025 announcement of Tata Motors' agreement to acquire Iveco Group for approximately EUR 3.8 billion, excluding the defence business, to enhance global commercial vehicle capabilities, innovation in zero-emission transport, and market reach, pending regulatory approvals.
