Business
Jay Bharat Maruti Limited manufactures and supplies key automotive components and assembly systems primarily for passenger cars in India. Its core product portfolio includes sheet metal components and assemblies such as body-in-white (BIW) parts, welded assemblies, exhaust systems, fuel fillers (fuel pipe) and suspension parts. The company also produces rear axles, chassis and suspension systems, cross car and cross truck beams, bumpers and fuel tanks, along with tooling and dies for automotive manufacturing. Jay Bharat Maruti Limited operates multiple manufacturing plants located in Gurgaon, Sonipat, and Gujarat, and maintains strategic alliances with Japanese firms such as SNIC Co. Ltd. and Yorozu Corporation. Founded in 1987 as a joint venture with Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), the company has established itself as a leading tier-1 supplier to MSIL, supporting its full model range with a strong presence across several automotive segments in India. Recent significant developments include laying the foundation for a new manufacturing plant in Kharkhoda, Sonipat, to support MSIL's upcoming vehicle production facility, with operations expected to commence in phases by 2025. Jay Bharat Maruti is also expanding capacity by setting up a weld shop dedicated to new electric vehicle (EV) models in Gujarat, aligned with MSIL’s investment plans aiming at increasing production capacity for combustion engine and electric vehicles. The company plans capital expenditures of approximately Rs 350 crore over the next two years to meet growing demand, especially from new model launches and EV transition efforts. Jay Bharat Maruti Limited operates under the broader JBM Group conglomerate and primarily serves the Indian automotive market, with over 90% of revenues derived from MSIL. It plays a key role in supplying components for internal combustion engine vehicles as well as the emerging electric vehicle segment. The company benefits from long-standing partnerships and a robust manufacturing infrastructure that supports MSIL's product expansion plans, including 10-11 new models with various fuel options projected by MSIL over the coming years. Its recent operational expansions and strategic investments underscore a focus on growth in electric and hybrid vehicle components, aligned with industry trends toward electrification and sustainability. The company is headquartered in the Delhi National Capital Region, India.
