Business
Jura Energy Corporation is an international independent upstream oil and gas company engaged in the exploration, development and production of petroleum and natural gas properties primarily in Pakistan. Listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol JEC, the company operates through its wholly owned subsidiaries, Frontier Holdings Limited and Spud Energy Pty Limited; these entities hold operated and non-operated working interests ranging from 27.5% to 100% in a balanced portfolio of nine producing, development and exploration assets across various basins, including Badin IV North and South leases, Guddu, Kandra Exploration, Nareli exploration license, Sara and Suri leases, Zamzama North, and Zarghun South lease in Baluchistan province. The Pakistan segment focuses on the sale of petroleum products such as natural gas and condensate, while corporate activities are based in Canada with no revenue-generating operations there; target customers include local gas utilities and industrial users in Pakistan. Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Jura conducts all substantive operations in Pakistan. In recent developments, Jura received a highly favorable resolution of arbitration proceedings regarding the Badin IV North and South blocks in December 2024; the company entered into farm-out agreements with Mari Petroleum Company Limited in early 2024, pursuant to which MPCL agreed to acquire Jura's working interests in Zarghun South lease and Nareli exploration license, assuming all related obligations; and obtained government approval for the Nareli working interest assignment to MPCL in March 2024. Additional updates include the award of petroleum exploration rights in the Nareli block, commencement of production from Sara and Suri leases, initiation of drilling in Zarghun South, and entry into a gas sale agreement for Sara and Suri; Jura also filed its interim financial statements for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2025, alongside ongoing operational enhancements such as increases to running finance facilities. Jura operates as a subsidiary of IDL Investments Limited, with prior affiliations to JS Energy Limited.
