- JK Tyre & Industries Limited manufactures and markets automotive tyres, tubes, flaps and related products for passenger cars, trucks and buses, light commercial vehicles, tractors, off-the-road applications, two- and three-wheelers; offers radial tyres under brands including JK Tyre, Vikrant and Tornel; and provides ancillary automotive services such as wheel alignment and tyre changing through a network of over 6,000 dealers and 650 brand shops including Steel Wheels and Xpress Wheels. Headquartered in New Delhi, India, and founded in 1974 as the flagship of JK Organisation, the company operates 11 manufacturing facilities including nine in India and two in Mexico, produces around 35 million tyres annually, and exports to 105 countries through 230 global distributors. JK Tyre pioneered radial tyre technology in India in 1977 and leads the domestic truck and bus radial segment.
The company maintains a state-of-the-art research centre in Mysore, launched India's first Smart Tyre with tyre pressure monitoring systems, and marked production of its 20 millionth truck/bus radial tyre in 2020. Recent developments include securing a $100 million sustainability-linked loan from the International Finance Corporation in January 2025, with $30 million to JK Tyre & Industries and up to $70 million to subsidiary Cavendish Industries Limited, to support growth and sustainability goals. JK Tyre increased its stake in Treel Mobility Solutions Private Limited to 66% in February 2025 and announced a Rs 5,000 crore expansion plan in November 2025 over five to six years, targeting passenger car radial capacity at Banmore, truck and bus radial at Laksar, and new export lines; it also launched next-generation commercial vehicle tyres such as JETWAY JUM XM, JETWAY JUC XM and JETSTEEL JDC XD in 2024.
