Johnson & Johnson (JNJ.SW) operates as a focused healthcare company, developing and marketing pharmaceuticals through its Innovative Medicine segment and medical technologies through its MedTech segment. Innovative Medicine provides innovative medicines addressing oncology including solid tumors such as lung, prostate, and bladder cancers as well as hematologic malignancies; immunology for rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, and psoriasis; neuroscience for mood disorders, neurodegenerative disorders, and schizophrenia; cardiopulmonary conditions including thrombosis, pulmonary hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases; infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS; and specialty ophthalmology. MedTech offers interventional solutions including electrophysiology products for cardiac arrhythmias, endovascular stroke treatments, and ear, nose, throat procedures; orthopaedics encompassing joint reconstruction, trauma, extremities, craniomaxillofacial, spinal surgery, sports medicine, and VELYS digital surgery systems; surgery products such as sutures, staplers, energy devices, hemostats, interventional ablation, surgical robotics, and digital solutions; vision care including contact lenses, intraocular lenses, dry eye treatments, and laser vision correction systems; and cardiovascular & specialty solutions for breast reconstruction and aesthetics. The company conducts operations globally across more than 60 countries with manufacturing facilities in 64 locations worldwide. Founded in 1886 and headquartered in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Johnson & Johnson employs over 138,000 people and targets patients, healthcare professionals, and systems in high-need therapeutic areas. In recent developments, the company announced in March 2025 a $55 billion investment over four years in U.S. manufacturing, research and development, and technology, including new advanced biologics facilities in Wilson, North Carolina, and expansions supporting over 70 novel therapy launches by 2030. It completed a $14.6 billion acquisition of Intra-Cellular Therapies in early 2025 to bolster its neuroscience portfolio with psychiatric treatments and agreed to acquire Halda Therapeutics for $3.05 billion in November 2025, adding tumor-targeting cancer therapies such as HLD-0915 for prostate cancer.
