- Jindal Stainless Limited manufactures stainless steel flat and long products in India. The company produces slabs, blooms, hot rolled coils, cold rolled coils, plates, sheets, precision strips, wire rods, rebars, pipes and tubes, and coin blanks across more than 100 grades including 200, 300, 400, and duplex series; it serves sectors such as automotive, railways and transport, architecture, building and construction, chemical and petrochemical, capital goods, kitchenware, and food processing. Founded in 1970 and headquartered in New Delhi, Jindal Stainless operates primary manufacturing complexes in Hisar, Haryana, and Jajpur, Odisha, with additional facilities including a subsidiary in Indonesia and a recent 54% stake in Chromeni Steels Private Limited's cold rolling mill in Gujarat. In 2024, the company announced INR 5,400 crore investments to expand capacity to 4.2 million tonnes per annum, including a 49% joint venture for 1.2 MTPA specialty steel and the Chromeni acquisition; it received final acceptance in 2025 for a new production line at Jajpur featuring a 150-ton AOD converter, ladle furnace, and continuous caster to add 1 million tonnes annually. Jindal Stainless also acquired a 9.62% stake in M1xchange in 2025 to enhance supply chain finance, launched its first stainless steel fabrication unit with INR 125 crore investment, signed an MoU with GSV for research and training, and extended a partnership with Harsco Environmental for sustainable operations at its expansions.
