Business
Jyoti CNC Automation Limited manufactures and sells metal cutting computer numerical control (CNC) machines; its core products include CNC turning centers, CNC turn-mill centers, CNC vertical machining centers (VMC), CNC horizontal machining centers (HMC), CNC 3-axis and 5-axis machining centers, and CNC multi-tasking machining centers; the company also offers Industry 4.0 and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions such as 7th Sense for automation, productivity enhancement, machine health monitoring, and tool life optimization, and PreciProtect for collision prevention. Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Rajkot, Gujarat, India, Jyoti CNC operates vertically integrated manufacturing facilities including a foundry, assembly shops, sheet metal shops, paint shop, and Leonardo Da Vinci R&D Center in Rajkot, with additional machine shops and a technology center; it maintains a wholly owned subsidiary, Huron Graffenstaden SAS (established 1857), in Strasbourg, France, a pioneer in 5-axis machining technology with subsidiaries in Germany, Canada, and Turkey. The company serves diverse industries such as aerospace, automobile and auto components, defense, agriculture, bearings, consumer durables, diamond and jewelry, die and mold, plastic processing, tooling, textile machinery, electronics manufacturing services, general engineering, medical, power, pumps and valves, railways, oil and gas, infrastructure, healthcare, and space research; it exports to over 60 countries including Europe (France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Portugal, Netherlands, Romania, Turkey, UK), North America (USA, Mexico, Canada), Asia, Middle East, and Africa, with an installation base exceeding 135,000 machines. Recent developments include the commencement of a new production facility by subsidiary Huron Graffenstaden SAS at its Strasbourg premises in November 2025; a planned expansion of manufacturing capacity by an additional 10,000 machines per annum at its Rajkot facility, increasing total capacity from 4,400 to 16,000 machines per annum at an estimated cost of Rs 400 crore over two fiscal years, approved in November 2024; acquisition of 20 acres of land in Tumakuru, Karnataka, for future expansion in July 2025; approval in August 2025 to establish or acquire sales and service entities in the United States and China; fresh investment of INR 150 crore in subsidiary Jyoti SAS in January 2024; launch of new products such as VST 160 CNC Vertical Shaft Turning Center for electric vehicles, Zebra CNC Chucker series, HP Series CNC Horizontal Machining Centers, and GU Five Series CNC 5-axis Machining Centers; and designation of senior management personnel including Chief Operating Officer Alay Dave and Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer Vijay Pratap Singh in August 2025.
