Business
KICK ETFs is an exchange-traded fund provider that launches and manages the KICK Korea Semiconductor Index ETF (NYSE Arca: KCHP), a U.S.-listed fund designed to provide targeted exposure to South Korea’s semiconductor industry. Founded in 2026 and headquartered in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the firm operates through Exchange Traded Concepts, LLC and Kiwoom Securities (USA) Inc.; its first fund, KCHP, began trading on September 15, 2026. The ETF seeks to track the Akros Korea Semiconductor GTR Index, which holds 20 Korea Exchange-listed semiconductor companies across the sector’s value chain, including memory, foundry, equipment, materials, packaging and chip design; the portfolio includes major Korean chipmakers such as Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix and is structured with modified market-cap weighting to limit concentration. The fund is offered to U.S. investors through standard brokerage accounts without requiring a foreign account, and its returns are affected by movements in the Korean won versus the U.S. dollar. Recent major developments include the launch of the KICK ETF series’ first product, the partnership between Exchange Traded Concepts and Kiwoom Securities (USA) for the listing, the NYSE Arca debut of KCHP, and the introduction of a dedicated U.S.-listed vehicle focused on Korea’s semiconductor ecosystem.
