- Leocor Mining Inc. (CSE: LECR) is a Vancouver-based junior resource company focused on the acquisition, exploration and development of precious and base metal projects primarily in Atlantic Canada. The company holds a portfolio of gold-copper properties in Newfoundland's Baie Verte Mining District, including the flagship Dorset Gold Project comprising two mineral claims covering 600 hectares near the Pine Cove Gold Mine; the contiguous Dorset Extension, Copper Creek and Five Mile Brook projects forming a nearly 2,000-hectare exploration corridor; and district-scale land packages in North Central Newfoundland known as Robert's Arm, Hodge's Hill and Leamington (collectively Western Exploits) spanning over 144,000 hectares of prospective ground targeting gold, copper, antimony and silver mineralization. Incorporated in 2018 and formerly known as Leocor Gold Inc., the company changed its name to Leocor Mining Inc. in January 2025 to reflect a broader focus on base metals alongside precious metals. In early 2024, Leocor completed a CDN $3 million strategic investment in Intrepid Metals Corp., acquiring approximately 8.8 million units and special warrants that provide a 26% partially diluted ownership stake as of April 2025 to support advancement of Intrepid's Corral Copper-Gold Project in Arizona; in March 2025, the company provided an update on this investment amid Intrepid's oversubscribed $5 million financing. Operations target junior mining investors seeking exposure to underexplored districts with world-class geology in Newfoundland, Canada.
