Business
Lexmark International, Inc. develops, manufactures, and supplies printing and imaging solutions worldwide, including laser printers, multifunction devices, dot matrix printers, inkjet printers, cartridges, and associated supplies; it also provides enterprise content management, business process management, document output management, intelligent data capture, workflow software, cloud-enabled imaging, Internet of Things technologies, and managed print services. The company, founded in 1991 as a spin-off from IBM's printing division and headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky, operates globally with offices and manufacturing facilities across North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific Rim, including key sites in Juarez, Mexico, and Boulder, Colorado. Lexmark serves industries such as financial services, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, education, and government, targeting enterprises of all sizes with secure document management and process automation solutions. In 2025, Xerox Holdings Corporation completed its $1.5 billion acquisition of Lexmark from a consortium including Ninestar Corporation and PAG Asia Capital, strengthening Xerox's print portfolio, expanding managed print services, and enhancing its presence in the A4 color print market and Asia-Pacific region; post-acquisition, Lexmark integrates its product lines with Xerox's ConnectKey technology while retaining its brand for an undetermined period.
