Plaza S.A. develops, builds, administers, manages, exploits, leases and sublets premises and spaces in shopping centers across Chile, Peru and Colombia. The company operates a portfolio of 26 shopping centers with a total leasable area of approximately 2,001,000 square meters encompassing more than 4,490 premises; its core offerings include large regional malls under the Mallplaza brand anchored by department stores such as Falabella and hypermarkets like Tottus, alongside specialized formats under Autoplaza, Motorplaza, Aires, Las Terrazas and formerly Mall Aventura Plaza brands that provide retail, entertainment, dining and parking services. Plaza S.A. serves urban markets as comprehensive lifestyle destinations designed to enhance community socialization and commerce, with 11 locations in Chile totaling 1,431,000 square meters, three centers in Colombia aggregating 272,000 square meters, and interests in Peru through associate Mall Plaza Perú S.A. holding 33.33% ownership of three properties spanning 298,000 square meters. Founded in 1990 and headquartered at Avenida Américo Vespucio 1737 in Huechuraba, Santiago, Chile, the company functions as a subsidiary of Desarrollos Inmobiliarios S.A. and trades publicly on the Santiago Stock Exchange under ticker MALLPLAZA.SN. In a major strategic expansion completed in April 2024, Plaza S.A. acquired Falabella Perú S.A.A. from Falabella S.A. and others for approximately $590 million, financed through cash, debt and a capital raise of up to $300 million, thereby strengthening its Peruvian operations and overall regional footprint.
