Direxion Shares ETF Trust – Direxion META Defined Income Boost ETF is an exchange-traded fund sponsored by Rafferty Asset Management, LLC, doing business as Direxion, that seeks to provide investment results, before fees and expenses, corresponding to the performance of the Cboe META Defined Income Index. The Fund provides exposure to a rules-based options-income strategy linked to Meta Platforms, Inc. common stock; it seeks to generate income principally through the systematic sale of weekly out-of-the-money call options on META shares, combined with daily delta hedging through long META positions. The strategy is designed to convert META’s implied volatility into option-premium income while retaining a portion of potential equity appreciation, subject to the risks of Meta share-price movements, options activity, index methodology, counterparty exposure and potential loss of principal. The Fund generally invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus borrowings for investment purposes, in the Index’s constituent securities and financial instruments, including swap agreements and options that collectively provide index-consistent exposure. It targets a 20% annualized distribution yield, with distributions intended twice monthly; the target is not guaranteed and distributions may vary based on option premiums, market conditions and other factors. The Fund is part of Direxion’s Defined Income Boost ETF lineup of single-stock options-income funds, which also includes strategies linked to NVIDIA, Tesla, Alphabet, Palantir Technologies and Micron Technology. MEIB was launched on July 29, 2026, as part of Direxion’s launch of six Defined Income Boost ETFs, representing a recent strategic expansion of the firm’s non-leveraged ETF offerings and its options-based income product range. Direxion, founded in 1997 and headquartered in New York, New York, provides exchange-traded funds and investment products to U.S. retail, financial-adviser and institutional investors.
