Ramaco Resources, Inc. Ramaco Resources, Inc. (NASDAQ:METC; METCB; METCL) is a leading producer of metallurgical coal and developer of critical minerals and rare earth elements in the United States. The company mines and processes high-quality metallurgical coal, including high-volatile A, low-volatile, mid-volatile, and semi-soft coking coal varieties suitable for blast furnace steelmaking, coke production, and electric-arc-furnace processes; it supplies these products to domestic steel mills, coke plants, and international customers across more than 20 countries from three active mine complexes and processing facilities in West Virginia and Virginia, targeting annual production exceeding four million tons. Ramaco Resources, Inc. also advances rare earth elements and critical minerals extraction at its permitted Brook Mine in Wyoming, a world-class deposit of magnetic rare earths com mingled with coal confirmed by the U.S. Department of Energy and independent geologists including Fluor Corporation for commercial processing into oxides used in defense technologies, batteries, semiconductors, and medical devices; additionally, it conducts carbon innovation research in partnership with Department of Energy national laboratories at a mine-mouth facility in Wyoming to develop coal-based advanced materials such as carbon fiber, graphene, and synthetic graphite as petroleum alternatives. Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky, the company employs approximately 1,000 people and maintains low-cost operations with a conservative balance sheet, serving the steelmaking and critical minerals supply chains in North America, Europe, Asia, and other regions.
