- MFS Active Exchange Traded Funds Trust—MFS Active Mid Cap ETF is an actively managed exchange-traded fund launched on September 24, 2025, that seeks capital appreciation by investing principally in U.S. mid-capitalization companies across both growth and value styles. Trading on the NYSE under the ticker MMID, the fund provides a U.S. mid-cap core equity strategy and uses fundamental research, quantitative screening and valuation analysis, with an emphasis on franchise durability, cash-flow-based valuation methodologies and companies exhibiting above-average free-cash-flow growth. Its investment portfolio spans industrials, financials, health care, information technology, consumer discretionary, real estate, energy, utilities, materials, consumer staples and communication services; as of July 31, 2026, the portfolio held 105 issuers, with leading positions including Global Payments Inc., Diamondback Energy Inc., Cheniere Energy Inc., W.W. Grainger Inc., Waters Corp., Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies Corp., Becton Dickinson & Co., STERIS plc, Burlington Stores Inc. and M&T Bank Corp. The fund’s holdings are concentrated primarily in North America, including the United States and Canada, while also maintaining exposure to the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Australia and Israel. It uses the Russell Midcap Index as its benchmark and charges a 0.59% gross expense ratio. MFS Investment Management, a Boston, Massachusetts-based global investment manager established in 1924, serves as investment manager; MFS Fund Distributors, Inc. distributes registered MFS investment products. MMID represents MFS’s sixth active ETF and was introduced as part of the manager’s expansion of its active ETF platform, following the firm’s initial active ETF launches in 2024; the strategy is managed by Kevin Schmitz and supported by MFS’s global investment platform.
