Business
Metalex Ventures Ltd. is a Canada-based mineral exploration company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV: MTX) that acquires, explores and develops mineral properties focused on kimberlite-hosted diamonds and hard rock metals including gold, base metals, copper, nickel, cobalt and lithium; principal projects comprise the Quebec project with 78% contributing interest in diamond exploration and 100% ownership of gold and base metal claims such as A1, A2 and B3 blocks targeting geophysical anomalies; Kyle Lake in northern Ontario where multiple diamondiferous kimberlites occur; joint ventures in Morocco with ONHYM for 60% contributing interest and in South Africa including the Viljoenshof Diamond project at 70% interest; and legacy interests in northern Ontario James Bay Lowlands. Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Kelowna, British Columbia, the company operates primarily in Canada, Morocco, South Africa and Mali, employing proprietary geophysical technologies and heavy mineral geochemistry to identify drill targets in underexplored regions. Recent developments include closing a $1.05 million private placement in December 2024 to fund exploration; commencing drilling of copper-nickel-cobalt targets at the B3 claim block and intersecting sulphides in Quebec during June 2025; identifying lithium potential at A1 claims in 2023; arranging funding and planning gold drilling at A1 and A2 claims in Quebec as of September 2025; multiple grants of deferred share units to directors in 2025; and staking additional Quebec claims in 2022.
