Ajiya Berhad is a Malaysia-based investment holding company primarily engaged in the manufacture and supply of building materials and Industrialised Building System (IBS) solutions for the construction, architectural, infrastructure, and interior furnishing sectors. Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Segamat, Johor, Malaysia, the company operates as a subsidiary of Chin Hin Group Berhad, managing an integrated manufacturing and distribution network spanning Malaysia and Thailand through principal operating entities including Asia Roofing Industries Sdn Bhd and Ajiya Safety Glass Sdn Bhd.
The company organizes its commercial activities into two core divisions: the Metal Division and the Safety Glass Division, marketed predominantly under the AJIYA brand name. The Metal Division manufactures roll-formed metal building components comprising metal roofing sheets and tile profiles; structural steel truss systems; structural floor decking systems; light-gauge steel channels and purlins; metal door and window frames; metal sunscreens and louvres; metal ceiling panels; and polyurethane (PU) foam-insulated roofing systems under its PU Green Series. The Safety Glass Division fabricates high-value-added architectural, commercial, and industrial safety glass products, including tempered safety glass; laminated safety glass; heat-strengthened glass; double-glazed insulated glass units (IGUs) for thermal and acoustic insulation; decorative and ceramic silk-screen printed glass; curved tempered glass; security and bullet-resistant glass; and specialized glass retrofit solutions including Attoch. Through its proprietary Ajiya Green Integrated Building Solutions (AGiBS), the company delivers integrated, prefabricated IBS modular construction frameworks combining cold-formed steel frames, walling systems, and roofing components for residential, commercial, and industrial building projects.
In recent corporate developments, Chin Hin Group Berhad completed the acquisition of additional equity stakes to consolidate majority ownership in Ajiya Berhad, raising its holding to 66.36%. In tandem with this ownership integration, Ajiya established an intercompany financial assistance arrangement of up to MYR 250 million to support Chin Hin Group funding requirements and optimize group-wide financing efficiencies. Strategically, the company expanded its eco-friendly product portfolio through joint initiatives to deliver low-carbon and energy-efficient building solutions, including the launch of the CoolPro roofing series. Operationally, Ajiya amended its financial year-end from November 30 to December 31 to synchronize financial reporting cycles with its parent organization while advancing operational streamlining and capacity optimization across its metal roll-forming and glass processing plants.
