- AWC Berhad is an investment holding company providing integrated facilities management, environmental solutions, building engineering services, and rail infrastructure engineering. Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia, the company operates primarily across Malaysia and Singapore, with project footprints in the Middle East and other parts of Asia.
The company delivers its solutions through four main operating divisions: Facilities Management, Environment, Engineering, and Rail. The Facilities Management division delivers integrated facilities management services for government administrative centers, commercial buildings, healthcare institutions, and educational facilities; mechanical, electrical, and civil maintenance; heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning system servicing; soft services comprising commercial cleaning, landscaping, and pest control; computerized maintenance management systems; and smart energy optimization solutions. The Environment division designs, manufactures, supplies, installs, tests, and commissions automated pneumatic waste collection systems under the proprietary STREAM brand for high-rise residential properties, mixed-use commercial developments, and large-scale townships; food waste biodigesters; and environmental waste-handling equipment. The Engineering division provides plumbing, sanitary, and rainwater harvesting installations; specialized water pumping and piping systems; fire protection and detection systems; heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning engineering; and building automation solutions. The Rail division supplies railway track maintenance machinery and equipment; rail fastening systems and track turnout components; rolling stock components and maintenance services; overhead line electrification systems; and track rehabilitation services for mass rapid transit, light rail transit, and mainline rail networks.
In recent developments, AWC Berhad has advanced its strategic growth through key equity consolidations, contract expansions, and technological upgrades. The group strengthened its rail capabilities by consolidating full ownership of its railway engineering subsidiary, Trackwork & Supplies Sdn Bhd, positioning the company to capture expanding transit and railway infrastructure contracts across Malaysia. The group also consolidated its shareholding in its environmental arm to accelerate the international deployment of its STREAM automated waste collection systems across residential and commercial developments in Singapore, Malaysia, and regional markets. Furthermore, AWC Berhad has secured substantial multi-year renewals and new contracts for integrated facilities management across government administrative buildings, healthcare complexes, and critical infrastructure, while integrating Internet of Things monitoring, predictive maintenance tools, and sustainable energy-efficiency practices across its service platforms.
