Business
BP Plastics Holding Bhd. is an investment holding company primarily engaged in the manufacturing, marketing, and distribution of polyethylene (PE) flexible plastic packaging films and bags. Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Batu Pahat, Johor, Malaysia, the company operates primarily through its wholly owned subsidiaries, BP Plastics Sdn. Bhd. and BP Packaging Sdn. Bhd., supplying protective and containment packaging solutions to diverse sectors including logistics and warehousing, food and beverage, industrial manufacturing, agriculture, electronics, construction, and consumer goods. The company manufactures and supplies a comprehensive portfolio of flexible packaging solutions organized across cast stretch film, blown film, and sustainable packaging segments. Its product offerings include: cast stretch films, comprising hand rolls, machine rolls, jumbo rolls, extended core rolls, high-tensile nano-layer stretch films, cast pre-stretch films, colored stretch films, and UV-resistant pallet stretch films; blown polyethylene films and bags, comprising industrial collation shrink films, heavy-duty sacks, form-fill-seal (FFS) films, multi-layer lamination base films, agricultural mulch films, builder films, surface protection films, gusseted tubing, bottom-sealed bags, side-sealed bags, and general-purpose PE bags; and eco-packaging solutions, comprising post-consumer recycled (PCR) content stretch films, downgauged ultra-thin packaging films, and bio-based flexible packaging materials engineered to reduce resin consumption. BP Plastics conducts manufacturing operations from its production facilities in Batu Pahat, Johor, and serves both the domestic Malaysian market and international markets across more than 30 countries, with key export destinations in Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, and other Asia-Pacific and European regions. In recent operational and strategic developments, the company has expanded its manufacturing capacity and technological sophistication through capital investments in state-of-the-art multi-layer cast stretch extrusion machinery and advanced blown film lines to accelerate the production of premium high-performance nano stretch films. Furthermore, the company has obtained International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC PLUS) to support circular and bio-circular plastic traceability, expanded commercial production of ISCC-certified post-consumer recycled packaging films, and implemented large-scale rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) installations across its manufacturing plants to reduce operational carbon intensity and enhance green manufacturing capabilities.
