Business
Ecoscience International Berhad is an investment holding company that operates as an integrated, one-stop solution provider specializing in the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) of palm oil mills and supporting industrial infrastructure. Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Pasir Gudang, Johor, Malaysia, the company executes its primary business activities through wholly-owned operating subsidiaries, notably Ecoscience Manufacturing & Engineering Sdn. Bhd. Ecoscience International operates across four principal business segments: Construction of Plants and Facilities, Fabrication of Equipment, Supply of Material and Equipment, and Other Specialized Engineering Services. The company provides comprehensive turnkey solutions for the agro-industrial and energy sectors. Its plant and facility construction capabilities encompass the full design, civil engineering, and commissioning of turnkey palm oil mills; palm oil refinery and fractionation complexes; palm kernel crushing plants; industrial effluent and biogas capture facilities; biomass cogeneration power plants; and bulk liquid storage and bulking installations. Within its equipment manufacturing operations, the company operates in-house fabrication facilities that engineer and produce ASME-certified pressure vessels; spherical and horizontal palm oil sterilizer systems; continuous sterilizers; autoclaves; electrostatic precipitators; heat recovery systems; industrial piping networks; and heavy structural steel frameworks. In addition, the company engages in the trading and distribution of industrial machinery, mechanical spare parts, and construction materials, while providing plant maintenance, upgrading, retrofitting, and technical support services. Ecoscience primarily serves plantation conglomerates, oleochemical processors, and renewable energy operators across Malaysia, Indonesia, Gabon, Liberia, and India. In recent corporate developments, Ecoscience International Berhad has strengthened its engineering order book through major industrial contract wins and strategic project engagements. In late 2025, the company secured a RM55.85 million contract from Genting Oil Mills (Sabah) Sdn. Bhd. for the turnkey design, construction, and machinery replacement of a 30-tonne-per-hour palm oil mill in Sabah. This follows a RM61.8 million EPCC award in 2024 from Oiltek Sdn. Bhd. to execute civil and structural works for a crude palm oil pretreatment plant and plant, machinery, and equipment facilities at the Port Dickson Refinery in Negeri Sembilan. The company has also expanded its downstream regional presence through turnkey refinery infrastructure contracts in Indonesia and biomass industrial engineering initiatives, supported by the issuance and listing of its Warrants A on Bursa Malaysia to bolster its working capital and long-term project execution capabilities.
