EP Manufacturing Bhd (EPMB) is a Malaysia-based investment holding company and Tier-1 automotive manufacturing solutions provider primarily engaged in the design, development, fabrication, assembly, and distribution of automotive parts, modular systems, and complete vehicles. Incorporated in 1996 and headquartered in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia, the company operates across core business segments encompassing automotive component manufacturing, contract vehicle assembly, electric mobility solutions, tooling and precision engineering, and diversified investments in renewable energy and property development. The company's product and service portfolio comprises metal-stamped and plastic-injected automotive components; chassis and suspension modules, including sub-frames, rear axle assemblies, trailing arms, cross members, link control parts, and corner modules; automotive body-in-white structures and panels, including door assemblies, dash panels, inner body panels, and structural reinforcements; exterior plastic components and trim modules, including front and rear bumper assemblies, spoilers, radiator grilles, door mouldings, and garnishes; automotive lighting and electrical assemblies, including halogen and LED headlamps, rear combination lamps, and signal lamps; engine and powertrain components, including composite air intake manifolds, fuel rail systems, and oil pans; vehicle seating systems; and precision engineering solutions encompassing the design, fabrication, and maintenance of automotive stamping dies, plastic injection moulds, checking fixtures, and assembly jigs. EPMB supplies major original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), including Perodua, Proton, Honda, Toyota, Mazda, and Kia. In recent strategic developments, EPMB has diversified from Tier-1 component manufacturing into full-scale contract vehicle assembly, establishing an automotive manufacturing hub on an approximately 58-acre site in Pegoh, Melaka. The facility accommodates internal combustion engine (ICE), hybrid electric (HEV), plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and battery electric vehicle (BEV) architectures, with production capacity expanded to 30,000 units annually alongside ongoing construction of a dedicated automated vehicle painting facility. The company has secured several major vehicle assembly partnerships with leading Chinese automotive groups, including definitive manufacturing agreements with Great Wall Motor (GWM) for completely knocked-down (CKD) assembly of models such as the Haval H6 HEV and WEY G9 PHEV; a 10-year assembly pact with BAIC covering the production of the BAIC X55 and BJ40; contract assembly appointment by SAIC Motor for MG-branded passenger vehicles including the MG S5 EV; and a strategic contract assembly partnership with XPeng for models including the XPeng G6 and XPeng X9. In two-wheel electric mobility, the company manufactures and distributes Blueshark smart electric scooters and battery-swapping infrastructure across Southeast Asia. EPMB manages its core operations through key operating subsidiaries, including PEPS-JV (M) Sdn Bhd, EP Polymers (M) Sdn Bhd, PEPS-JV (Melaka) Sdn Bhd, EP Blueshark Sdn Bhd, EP Moulds & Dies (M) Sdn Bhd, EP Fintech Sdn Bhd, and Kensington Development Sdn Bhd. The group distributes products to domestic assemblers in Malaysia and exports components and assembled vehicles to international markets across the ASEAN region, South America, and the Middle East.
