Business
KPS Consortium Berhad is a Malaysia-based investment holding company primarily engaged in paper manufacturing, paper converting, and the wholesale distribution of building materials. The Company operates through four principal business segments: Paper Milling, Paper Converting, Building Materials, and Investment Holding. Through its Paper Milling and Converting operations, the Company manufactures, processes, and distributes a comprehensive range of paper and stationery products, including industrial paper rolls, corrugated carton packaging, kraft paper, and fluting mediums; consumer tissue products, including toilet rolls, facial tissues, napkins, and kitchen towels; and educational and office paper stationery, comprising exercise books, hard-cover account books, spiral notebooks, memo pads, envelopes, computer continuous forms, and thermal point-of-sale (POS) rolls marketed under proprietary brand names such as Campap and Parrot. Through its Building Materials segment, the Company engages in the trading and distribution of timber and construction materials, including structural and commercial plywood, medium-density fibreboards (MDF), particleboards, sawn timber, wooden architectural doors, cement, steel bars, wire mesh, gypsum boards, and general hardware supplies for the construction, furniture, and renovation industries. The Investment Holding segment provides group-level management services and oversees property investments. Founded in 1985 and headquartered in Klang, Selangor, Malaysia, KPS Consortium Berhad operates manufacturing, converting, and warehousing facilities across Malaysia, serving educational institutions, commercial printers, packaging converters, building contractors, furniture makers, and retail distributors throughout domestic and regional Southeast Asian markets. In recent operational developments, the Company has upgraded and automated its paper converting and packaging production lines to optimize energy consumption, improve yield efficiency, and mitigate paper pulp price volatility. Furthermore, the Company has expanded its product offerings to include eco-friendly, certified recycled paper packaging to meet growing market demand for sustainable materials, while extending its building materials distribution network across Peninsular Malaysia to support renewed domestic infrastructure and property development projects.
