Business
Land & General Berhad is a Malaysia-based investment holding company primarily engaged in property development, property investment, education, and plantation management. Founded in 1964 and headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the company operates primarily across Peninsular Malaysia, with core business operations concentrated in the Greater Klang Valley, Selangor, and Negeri Sembilan. The company organizes its business activities into three principal segments: Property Development, Education, and Others. The Property Development segment engages in the master planning, construction, project management, and sale of residential townships, high-rise condominiums, landed residential communities, serviced apartments, and commercial properties; key developments and product lines include township developments such as Bandar Sri Damansara, high-rise residential towers including Damansara Laverra, The Wyn Residences, Livista, and Astoria Ampang, landed residential estates including Sena Parc in Senawang, and joint-venture residential projects including Diamond City in Semenyih. The Education segment owns and operates private co-educational institutions through its Sri Bestari educational arm, comprising Sri Bestari Private School (Sekolah Sri Bestari) and Sri Bestari International School, delivering Malaysian national and Cambridge international curricula across kindergarten, primary, and secondary education levels. The Others segment encompasses commercial property investment and asset leasing; building and estate management services; the operation of recreational, sports, and community facilities through the Bandar Sri Damansara Club; the cultivation of agricultural produce including oil palm, rubber, and bamboo plantations; and the provision of corporate management and administrative services. In recent strategic and operational developments, Land & General Berhad has diversified its property portfolio by expanding into the industrial real estate sector, initiating plans for a 240-acre industrial park development in Lembah Beringin, Selangor, with an estimated gross development value of RM1.5 billion. The group has also expanded its high-density residential development pipeline through major project launches, including the introduction of the RM752 million Damansara Laverra serviced apartment project in Bandar Sri Damansara alongside progressive phases of The Wyn Residences in Puchong. To optimize its extensive undeveloped land reserves, the company has actively explored green energy and land monetisation initiatives, including evaluating commercial land leasing structures for utility-scale solar photovoltaic installations. Concurrently, the company continues to advance master planning for future large-scale township developments in Shah Alam U10 and Senawang while strengthening recurring revenue streams from its education, property management, and hospitality assets.
