Business
VSTECS Berhad is a Malaysia-based investment holding company that operates as a leading distributor of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) products, enterprise systems, and value-added ICT technical services. Founded in 1985 and headquartered in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia, the company operates primarily across Malaysia through three core business segments: ICT Distribution, Enterprise Systems, and ICT Services. The ICT Distribution segment distributes consumer and commercial hardware and consumer electronics, including personal computers, notebooks, smartphones, tablets, wearables, printers, monitors, peripherals, and related IT accessories. The Enterprise Systems segment distributes enterprise-grade infrastructure and software, including servers, data storage systems, data center hardware, enterprise networking devices, cybersecurity platforms, database management tools, and virtualization software. The ICT Services segment provides end-to-end technical support and digital transformation solutions, including pre-sales consulting and system architecture design; systems integration and project implementation; cloud computing and migration services; 24/7 mission-critical maintenance and technical support; warranty management and hardware replacement; and professional IT training services. VSTECS serves a broad customer base comprising commercial enterprises, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), government agencies, and retail consumers through an extensive distribution network of over 4,000 channel partners, including system integrators, corporate dealers, and retailers. The company maintains distribution partnerships with over 50 leading global technology principals, including Apple, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, HP Inc., Dell Technologies, Cisco Systems, Lenovo, ASUS, Acer, Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, and Fortinet. VSTECS Berhad is an associate company of VSTECS Holdings (Singapore) Limited, which forms part of the regional Hong Kong-listed VSTECS Holdings Limited group. In recent developments, VSTECS Berhad has significantly expanded its cloud, artificial intelligence (AI), and next-generation connectivity portfolio through strategic vendor appointments and operational realignments. The company secured an appointment as the first official distributor for Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Malaysia through its subsidiary VSTECS KU Sdn. Bhd., enabling local channel partners to deploy cloud infrastructure, storage, analytics, and machine learning solutions. In the connectivity and mobile domains, its subsidiary VSTECS Astar Sdn. Bhd. became an authorized commercial distributor for SpaceX's Starlink satellite internet services in Malaysia, and the company was appointed as an official distributor for Google's Pixel smartphone series. To capitalize on enterprise AI and data center modernization, VSTECS Pericomp Sdn. Bhd. entered into a Memorandum of Collaboration with Skyvast Data Sdn. Bhd. to commercialize sovereign AI infrastructure and GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) offerings in Malaysia. In addition, the company executed a strategic divestment of its entire 40% equity interest in associate company ISATEC Sdn. Bhd. for RM48.75 million to streamline operations, unlock capital, and redeploy financial resources toward core high-growth divisions in cloud services, data center systems, and AI-driven enterprise technologies.
