NBCC (India) Limited provides project management consultancy (PMC), engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), and real estate development services primarily in the construction and infrastructure sectors. The company offers PMC services including project conceptualization, feasibility studies, detailed project reports, engineering, tender specifications, construction drawings, procurement assistance, quality control, supervision, execution, commissioning, testing, and handing over of projects; EPC services encompassing civil construction of residential and commercial complexes, hospitals, educational institutions, re-development of government properties, infrastructure works such as roads, water supply, waste management, storm water systems, water storage solutions, high-rise chimneys, cooling towers, coal handling plants, TV towers, airports, runways, and border fencing; and real estate development featuring apartments, townships, office buildings, and shopping malls, along with post-construction maintenance and consultancy in hospital planning, medical equipment procurement, and integrated steel plants. NBCC operates across India through 31 regional offices and internationally in countries including Iraq, Libya, Nepal, Mauritius, Turkey, Botswana, Maldives, Yemen, Oman, UAE, Dubai, and various African nations, targeting central and state governments, public sector undertakings, and institutional clients. Founded in 1960 and headquartered in New Delhi, India, NBCC functions as a Navratna public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, with subsidiaries such as NBCC Services Limited, Hindustan Steelworks Construction Limited (HSCL), and Hospital Services Consultancy Corporation Limited (HSCC). In recent developments, NBCC secured multiple orders in 2024 and 2025, including ₹235 crore in new contracts such as renovation of Power Grid Corporation's Gurugram office and construction of a multipurpose hall at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith University, six redevelopment projects in Goa worth ₹1,726 crore, ₹75 crore for infrastructure at IIIT Nagpur, and a ₹37 billion mixed-use project in Rajasthan. The company formed strategic partnerships, notably an MoU with RailTel Corporation in April 2025 for developing data centres in India and abroad (including Vietnam, Mauritius, UAE, and African nations), and a Memorandum of Agreement with MAHAPREIT in May 2025 for real estate execution following an earlier MoU. Subsidiaries HSCC and HSCL also won significant orders, such as ₹1,322 crore from Employees State Insurance Corporation and ₹1,000 crore for Gondwana University campus development.
