Business
NLS Pharmaceutics Ltd. (Nasdaq: NLSP; NLSPW), formerly NLS Pharmaceutics AG, operates as a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of innovative therapies for rare and complex central nervous system (CNS) disorders, including narcolepsy, idiopathic hypersomnia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and other neurological conditions. The company offers a pipeline of product candidates comprising Quilience, a modified-release formulation of mazindol for treating excessive daytime sleepiness and cataplexy associated with narcolepsy; Nolazol, a next-generation prodrug of methylphenidate for ADHD; DOXA, a first-in-class dual orexin receptor agonist platform for sleep-wake disorders; and early-stage assets such as NLS-4 (lauflumide, a wake-promoting agent for chronic fatigue including long-COVID symptoms), NLS-3 (reverse ester of methylphenidate), NLS-8 (melatonin ML1A receptor agonist), NLS-11 (norepinephrine/dopamine reuptake inhibitor with muscarinic antagonism) and NLS-12 (similar reuptake inhibitor targeting muscarinic M4 receptors). Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, NLS Pharmaceutics targets patient populations with unmet needs in neurobehavioral and neurocognitive disorders across global markets, primarily through clinical trials in the United States and Europe. In recent developments, the company completed a merger with Kadimastem Ltd. in October 2025, creating NewcelX with an expanded pipeline incorporating Kadimastem's allogeneic cell therapies AstroRx for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and IsletRx for Type 1 diabetes; announced a 1-for-10 reverse share split and name change to NLS Pharmaceutics Ltd. in October 2025; received shareholder approvals for the Kadimastem merger in September 2025; and entered a definitive merger agreement in November 2024 originally targeting a January 2025 close.
