Business
Olam Group Limited is a leading global food and agri-business supplying food, ingredients, feed and fibre to customers worldwide through its integrated supply chain spanning over 60 countries. Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Singapore, the company operates three principal groups: ofi (Olam Food Ingredients), which provides sustainable, natural, value-added products including cocoa, coffee, dairy, nuts and spices; Olam Agri, which holds leading positions in grains and oilseeds, animal feed and proteins, edible oils, rice, specialty grains and seeds, cotton, wood products, rubber, sugar, bioenergy and commodity financial services; and the Remaining Olam Group, which manages other assets and initiatives. Its operations serve diverse markets across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Australia, Europe and the Americas, with a sourcing network supporting an estimated 5 million farmers and emphasizing sustainable practices in origination, processing, trading, logistics, distribution and risk management. Recent developments include the February 2025 announcement of a US$2.58 billion sale of a 64.57% stake in Olam Agri to Saudi Agricultural & Livestock Investment Company (SALIC), enabling US$2 billion in deleveraging for the Remaining Olam Group and a US$500 million equity investment into ofi to support potential dual listings in Europe and Singapore; completion of a prior 35.43% stake sale in Olam Agri to SALIC for US$1.24 billion in December 2024 under a strategic supply agreement; divestment of its remaining 32.4% stake in African port operator Arise Ports & Logistics for US$175 million in August 2025; closure of digital farmer platform Jiva Ag in August 2025 as part of cash conservation efforts; and securing of a US$2,100 million multi-tranche loan facility for ofi in August 2025.
