Cordlife Group Limited (SGX: P8A), founded in 2001 and headquartered in Singapore, operates Asia's largest network of private cord blood banks with full stem cell processing and storage facilities in six key markets including Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, the Philippines, India and Malaysia; through its majority-owned subsidiary Stemlife Berhad in Malaysia, the Group holds an indirect stake in Thailand's largest private cord blood bank, Thai Stemlife; it provides cord blood banking services involving collection, processing, testing and cryopreservation of haematopoietic stem cells; cord lining banking services, including mesenchymal stem cells and epithelial stem cells under exclusive license from CellResearch Corporation Pte Ltd; cord tissue banking focused on Wharton's Jelly and mesenchymal stem cells using proprietary technology; placenta banking; peripheral blood stem cell banking for haematopoietic stem cells; gut microbiome banking in partnership with AMILI Pte Ltd; corneal lenticule banking; and a comprehensive suite of diagnostics services such as non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) with expanded panels covering microdeletion syndromes, newborn genetic and metabolic screening (including Bebegene detecting over 100 conditions), paediatric vision screening (Eyescreen), ear screening (Earscreen), allergen testing, genetic talent testing, preimplantation genetic screening, endometrial receptivity testing, lifestyle genetic tests for sports, skin, diet and health, and digital healthcare via the Moms Up app; the Group serves families across 10 markets including Bangladesh, Myanmar, Vietnam, Macau, Brunei and Cambodia, with extensive transplant experience including 77 cord blood releases to 21 healthcare institutions in 10 countries and 21 cord lining, cord tissue and mesenchymal stem cell releases; its facilities hold multiple accreditations such as AABB, FACT, CAP, NABL, ISO and regulatory approvals from bodies like Singapore's Ministry of Health, India's DCGI and others. Recent developments include approval from Singapore's Ministry of Health in August 2024 to resume cord blood banking services with restrictions following prior storage issues; unveiling of an enhanced processing and storage facility in Singapore in September 2024 featuring AXP II automated systems and real-time cryogenic monitoring; reaccreditations for overseas operations and service expansions in July 2024; accelerated recruitment of lab and technical staff in May 2024 to strengthen core processes; partnership with Shandong Qilu Stemcell Engineering Co Ltd to enhance efficiency and service quality; focus on mesenchymal stem cell secretome therapies for osteoarthritis; ISO recertification and AABB reaccreditation for Cordlife Philippines in August 2025; and a voluntary conditional cash partial offer announced in May 2025.
