- Parx Materials N.V. develops and commercializes biocide-free antimicrobial and antifouling polymer additives that prevent bacterial adhesion, biofilm formation, and microbial contamination on plastic surfaces through a proprietary biomimetic technology inspired by the human immune system. In July 2024, GCP Technology AS, a Norwegian industrial group supported by local investors, acquired nearly 57% of the company's shares from founders Michael van der Jagt and Michele Fiori, who remain involved during the transition; GCP also assumed control of Parx's Norwegian partner ZincIn AS to leverage expertise. In December 2024, Parx Materials acquired its first production machine for a new scalable facility in Italy, initiating investments in equipment to establish in-house manufacturing, enhance capacity, and target growth in aquaculture, food packaging, and consumer sectors amid rising international customer interest.
