Patel Engineering Limited (PATELENG.NS) provides infrastructure construction and engineering services focused on complex civil projects. The company undertakes engineering, procurement, and construction contracts for dams, tunnels, micro-tunnels, hydroelectric power plants, irrigation systems, highways, roads, bridges, railways, refineries, water treatment facilities, and real estate developments including buildings, townships, malls, hotels, industrial structures, sports stadiums, and public utilities; it also engages in asset ownership and microtunneling works. Operating primarily through EPC and real estate segments, Patel Engineering serves public sector undertakings, governments, and private clients in target markets spanning hydropower, transportation, water supply, and urban infrastructure, with projects executed in India and international locations such as USA, Chile, Greece, Eritrea, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and Qatar. Founded in 1949 and headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, the company maintains a robust order book exceeding INR 15,000 crore, bolstered by bids worth over INR 34,000 crore under evaluation amid India's infrastructure spending cycle. Recent developments include a rights issue of INR 500 crore approved in 2025 to reduce debt and enhance liquidity, alongside plans for land monetization targeting INR 200 crore from sales in Maharashtra and West Bengal within 6-9 months. In the past two years, Patel Engineering secured major contracts such as INR 1,818 crore from NHPC for the Dibang Multipurpose Project, INR 2,461 crore for a Jammu & Kashmir project, INR 798 crore letters of intent for coal excavation and transportation from South Eastern Coalfields Limited via Saidax Engineers, INR 718 crore hydropower order from NEEPCO, and irrigation projects including Rs 958 crore from Maharashtra Krishna Valley Development Corporation; it also formed a joint venture declared lowest bidder for Rs 525 crore and Rs 1,567 crore works, and signed an MoU with RVNL.
