Petrel Resources Plc (PET.L) engages in oil and gas exploration and production primarily in Ireland, Iraq, and Ghana. The company holds a 30% working interest in the Tano 2A block in the Tano Basin, Ghana, covering approximately 1,532 square kilometers with Cretaceous targets near existing production; a 10% working interest in Frontier License 11/18 in offshore Ireland, operated by Woodside Energy; 100% interest in Frontier Exploration License FEL 3/14 and License Option LO 16/24 in the Porcupine Basin offshore Ireland, targeting Jurassic and West African-style Cretaceous plays with prospective resources estimated at up to 327 million barrels oil equivalent attributable to Petrel; and an interest in the former Block 6 in Iraq's Western Desert. Founded in 1983 as an Irish-registered entity and listed on the London Stock Exchange's AIM since 2000, Petrel Resources operates from its headquarters at 162 Clontarf Road, Dublin, Ireland, through subsidiaries including Petrel Industries Limited, Petrel Resources of the Middle East Offshore S.A.L., Petrel Resources (TCI) Limited, and Pan Andean Resources Limited. Recent developments include a March 2025 placing to raise £250,000; board changes and the death of Chairman David Horgan in October and November 2025, respectively; preliminary results and unaudited interim statements released in June and September 2025; and an annual general meeting held on July 30, 2025.
