Business
paragon GmbH & Co. KGaA develops, produces and distributes automotive electronics, body kinematics and e-mobility solutions for the automotive industry primarily in Germany, the European Union and internationally. The company, founded in 1988 and headquartered in Delbrück, Germany, operates through two main segments: Electronics, which offers air quality sensors including innovative DUSTPROTECT anti-virus filters, high-end acoustic systems comprising loudspeakers, amplifiers and microphones, display instruments, convenience and control systems, communication components, batteries, light and rain sensors and wireless charging solutions; and Mechanics, which provides electromechanical components such as active mobile aerodynamic systems including adaptively extendable spoilers. Its Power division supplies battery management systems and traction batteries for electric vehicles, with production sites in Delbrück and Suhl in Germany, Landsberg am Lech, Nuremberg, St. Georgen, Limbach and Kunshan in China. In recent developments, paragon opened a new plant in Kunshan, China in July 2024 to support expansion in Asia, concluded an extensive distribution agreement with AGS India in September 2024 to cross-sell product portfolios including air quality sensors, loudspeakers, displays and automotive lighting in India, Europe, China and South Africa, sold its software subsidiary semvox to CARIAD in 2022 to refocus on core automotive hardware, expects moderate revenue growth to €115-120 million and EBITDA of about €18 million in 2025 amid a catch-up effect in automotive orders, and founder Klaus Dieter Frers regained majority shareholder status while the company held a second bondholders' meeting in December 2025.
