Business
Polyram Plastic Industries Ltd is an international supplier specializing in high-performance thermoplastic compounds and functional polymers. The company’s core products include engineering plastics and customized thermoplastic compounds enhanced with glass fibers, glass beads, mineral fillers, and other performance modifiers such as flame retardants, impact modifiers, heat stabilizers, hydrolysis resistance, and UV stabilizers. Its product offerings extend to functional polymers including coupling agents, compatibilizers, impact modifiers, and adhesive resins used across automotive, multi-layer film, industrial, and packaging sectors. Polyram also supplies maleated products for compounding and multi-layer structures including barrier packaging, pipes, sheets, and aluminum composite panels. Founded in 1975 and headquartered in Israel, Polyram operates globally with production facilities across three continents, including recent expansion in Asia through a new manufacturing site in Thailand. This move complements its existing operations across Europe and North America, enhancing its ability to serve key markets across India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, Vietnam, China, and more. Recent major developments include the acquisition of the remaining 49 percent stake in its subsidiary Polyram USA-Creative Functional Polymers, LLC, securing full ownership to support business expansion in the United States. In November 2025, Polyram also acquired a 51 percent majority stake in the Italian plastic compounder Lapo Compounds, which has production sites in Italy and Morocco. This acquisition broadens Polyram’s product portfolio with lightweight, recycled-content thermoplastic compounds for automotive, electronics, and infrastructure industries, while strengthening its presence in Italy, Eastern Europe, and North Africa. The integration of Lapo’s technical competencies is expected to foster advances in polymer-based solutions and improve service capabilities for international customers. Polyram’s industry segments focus on thermoplastic compound manufacturing and distribution for automotive, packaging, electronics, infrastructure, and industrial applications. Its global footprint and continuous strategic acquisitions illustrate its commitment to expanding technological expertise, market coverage, and sustainable product offerings. The company is publicly traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange under the ticker POLP.TA.
