Business
Portofino Resources Inc. is a Vancouver-based mineral exploration and development company focused on projects in the Americas, primarily Argentina and Canada. The company’s main products and services include exploration and development of lithium projects, such as the drill-ready Yergo Lithium Brine Project covering 2,932 hectares in Catamarca Province, Argentina, and the Arizaro Lithium Project, an 8,445-hectare property in Salta Province, Argentina. It also holds gold exploration properties in Northwestern Ontario, Canada, including the South of Otter and Bruce Lake projects in the Red Lake district and the Gold Creek, Sapawe West, and Melema West properties near Atikokan. Portofino engages in mineral property acquisition, exploration, and development activities targeting lithium and gold resources. Recent major company developments include the completion of an option buyout to acquire a 100% interest in the Yergo Lithium Project and a strategic 50:50 partnership with Lithium Chile for the Arizaro Lithium Project. Portofino has also entered into a memorandum of understanding with Recursos Energeticos Y Mineros De Salta S.A. (REMSA), a state-owned mining company in Salta, granting options to earn majority interests in over 27,000 hectares of lithium concessions in Argentina’s Lithium Triangle. The company actively pursues financing activities and joint venture agreements to advance its portfolio, alongside ongoing exploration and sampling at its lithium and gold assets. Founded in 2005, Portofino Resources operates mainly in Argentina’s lithium-rich regions and Canada’s gold mining districts. Its projects focus on lithium brine and pegmatite deposits as well as gold mineralization, serving the growing demand in energy storage and precious metals markets. The company emphasizes building strategic partnerships with local and international entities to expand and develop its mineral assets efficiently. Portofino Resources trades on the TSXV under the ticker POR.V.
