Invesco S&P SmallCap Utilities & Communication Services ETF (PSCU) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to track the performance, before fees and expenses, of the S&P SmallCap 600 Capped Utilities & Communication Services Index. The fund normally invests at least 90% of its total assets in securities that comprise the index, which measures the performance of small-capitalization U.S. companies in the utilities and communication services sectors as defined by the Global Industry Classification Standard; this includes providers of energy, water, electric, and natural gas utilities, as well as diversified and wireless telecommunication services, media, entertainment, and interactive media and services. PSCU employs a full replication technique, holding approximately 36 stocks with top holdings such as Lumen Technologies, Madison Square Garden Sports, Telephone and Data Systems, MDU Resources Group, Otter Tail Corporation, and others across subsectors like interactive media and services, water utilities, gas utilities, diversified telecommunication services, entertainment, electric utilities, media, wireless telecommunication services, multi-utilities, and independent power and renewable electricity producers; the fund is non-diversified, rebalanced and reconstituted quarterly, listed on Nasdaq, and features a total expense ratio of 0.29%. Launched on April 7, 2010, and domiciled in the United States as part of Invesco Exchange-Traded Fund Trust II and managed by Invesco Capital Management LLC, PSCU targets investors seeking concentrated exposure to small-cap utilities and communication services, differing from broader large-cap-dominated utility benchmarks through its overweight in small natural gas utilities and inclusion of telecom firms. The fund operates exclusively with U.S.-focused geographic allocation at 100%, serving institutional and retail investors in the equity ETF market within the utilities category. No major strategic changes, such as partnerships, acquisitions, funding rounds, new product launches, or reorganizations, have been reported for PSCU within the last 1-2 years; it continues standard quarterly rebalancing aligned with the underlying index, with recent performance reflecting market conditions including a year-to-date decline as of September 30, 2025.
