Business
DoubleDragon Corporation is a real estate and hospitality conglomerate headquartered in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Founded in 2009 as Injap Land, Inc. and jointly controlled by Edgar Sia II and Tony Tan Caktiong, the company engages in the development, management, and leasing of community shopping malls, hospitality properties, industrial warehouse facilities, and commercial office towers across the Philippines and selected international markets. The company operates through four principal business pillars: retail leasing, hospitality, industrial logistics leasing, and office leasing. Its core products and services comprise community shopping malls developed and managed under the CityMall brand through subsidiary CityMall Commercial Centers, Inc., providing retail, grocery, dining, and service spaces in tier-two and tier-three provincial cities; standardized condotel accommodations and asset-light hospitality services offered through subsidiary Hotel of Asia, Inc. under the flagship Hotel101 brand with its standardized single-room format and proprietary booking application, as well as master franchise operations for Jinjiang Inn hotels in the Philippines; standardized industrial warehouse, cold storage, and logistics facilities developed under the CentralHub brand through CentralHub Industrial Centers, Inc. for consumer goods, e-commerce, and food manufacturing enterprises; prime commercial office space leasing, property management, and mixed-use commercial developments, including DD Meridian Park in the Bay Area of Pasay City, Jollibee Tower in Ortigas Center, and The SkySuites Tower in Quezon City; and real estate investment trust asset management through its publicly listed subsidiary DDMP REIT, Inc. In recent strategic developments, the company has accelerated the global expansion of its hospitality division through its Singapore-based subsidiary Hotel101 Global Pte. Ltd., entering into a definitive business combination agreement with JVSPAC Acquisition Corp. to publicly list Hotel101 on the Nasdaq stock market under the ticker symbol H101. The company has also advanced construction and pre-selling for flagship international Hotel101 properties in Niseko, Japan; Madrid, Spain; and Los Angeles, California, United States. Furthermore, DoubleDragon has expanded its capital-raising activities through multi-currency bond issuances, including international dollar- and euro-denominated debt offerings, while continuing the nationwide development and expansion of its CentralHub industrial logistics network in partnership with Jollibee Foods Corporation in preparation for a planned industrial REIT listing.
