Business
Reliance Infrastructure Limited (RELFF) is an Indian engineering and construction company engaged in the development, construction, and operation of power transmission and distribution projects, roads, and urban infrastructure. The company offers engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for power transmission lines, substations, and distribution networks; builds and operates highways, metro rail systems, and airports under public-private partnership models; and provides defence manufacturing including missile systems and naval equipment through its subsidiary. It also develops real estate projects and offers project management consultancy services across energy, transportation, and urban development sectors. Founded in 1929 and headquartered in Mumbai, India, Reliance Infrastructure operates primarily in India with projects in Africa and the Middle East. In 2024, the company secured a strategic partnership with an international defence firm for joint production of advanced weaponry; completed a INR 3,000 crore funding round to support expansion into renewable energy transmission; and launched a new subsidiary focused on smart city infrastructure solutions amid a major reorganization to streamline its EPC and defence segments.
