- Shree Renuka Sugars Limited manufactures and refines sugar, produces ethanol and ethyl alcohol, and generates power from bagasse co-generation in India. The company operates eight state-of-the-art sugar mills in the sugarcane-rich regions of Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Karnataka; two of India's largest port-based refineries handling over 1.38 million metric tons of raw sugar annually for export to the Middle East, North and Eastern Africa; and integrated ethanol production facilities supporting India's ethanol-blending program, with Madhur as its flagship packaged sugar brand offering pure, hygienic white sugar and various grades for industrial and consumer markets. Incorporated in 1995 and headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka, Shree Renuka Sugars serves domestic and international markets through its sugar-milling, sugar-refinery, trading, co-generation, and distillery segments, with KBK Chem-Engineering Private Limited as a wholly owned subsidiary providing EPC solutions for fermentation, distillation, bio-ethanol, brewery, sugar, chemical processing, and co-generation plants across Asia, South-East Asia, and Africa.
In recent developments, Shree Renuka Sugars completed the acquisition of additional shares worth Rs 573.65 million in its wholly owned subsidiary KBK Chem-Engineering Private Limited in November 2025 through conversion of an inter-company loan into 249,122 equity shares, strengthening its engineering and bio-energy capabilities. The company also acquired Anamika Sugar Mills in October 2023 for Rs 235.5 crore, establishing a presence in Uttar Pradesh—one of India's largest sugar-producing states—to expand market reach in North and East India, with Anamika subsequently approving Rs 183.8 crore for crushing capacity expansion. These moves align with ongoing ethanol capacity enhancements, including prior expansions to support government-mandated blending targets.
