Business
Rolls-Royce Holdings plc functions as a global industrial technology enterprise. The company is organized into four distinct divisions: Civil Aerospace, Power Systems, Defence, and New Markets. The Civil Aerospace segment is dedicated to the design, production, and sale of advanced aero engines for large commercial airliners, regional jets, and business aircraft, coupled with comprehensive aftermarket service provisions, including a focus on sustainability and enhanced durability for existing engine families. The Power Systems division, operating under the MTU brand, delivers integrated power and propulsion solutions for marine, defense, power generation, and industrial applications, emphasizing sustainable, climate-neutral offerings and a strategic pivot towards non-governmental commercial sectors. The Defence segment supplies aero engines for military transport, patrol, combat, and trainer aircraft, in addition to naval power systems and nuclear propulsion plants for the UK Royal Navy's submarine fleet, including commitments under the AUKUS agreement and selection to power the US Army's Future Long Range Assault Aircraft program. The New Markets segment focuses on the development and commercialization of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) and innovative electrical power solutions, with its SMR technology being chosen to lead the deployment of the UK's first fleet of factory-built mini nuclear power stations, each capable of powering approximately one million homes. Rolls-Royce Holdings plc was initially established in 1904 and maintains its corporate headquarters in London, United Kingdom.
